Millions of dollars are available to homeowners still dealing with the after-effects of hurricane Harvey.

The Texas General Land Office is allocating $121 Million in Community Development Block Grants for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Funding is available to homeowners in Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, San Patricio counties.

GLO has two Homeowner Assistance Program offices in the coastal bend. Case managers are available to help people with the application process.

A spokesperson tells Action 10 News, they anticipate the need to be greater than the funds available and they encourage people to apply as soon as they can.

The program will ensure people’s homes are up to code.

“This is a full-repair program,” says GLO spokesperson Brittany Eck. “In some cases, it may involve reconstruction of a home, it also could involve elevation of a home, so we want folks to go ahead and apply and let us know where the need is.”

The applications are available online & in-person.

There are two locations in the Coastal Bend Region:

1314 S. Staples Street, Corpus Christi, Tx 78404

2803 HWY 35 N, Rockport, TX 78382
