Some area doctors are showcasing their talent outside the medical field.

The Art Center came out with their first “Doctors who do art” exhibit. The exhibit has been in the works for several months and was inspired by five different doctors, who are also members of the Art Center.

“Every artist who is also a medical professional that I know, is very talented because they each see things differently. So I just wanted to do a show that commemorates that” said Sierra Shamblin, Creative Manager of the Art Center.

The exhibit showcases unique paintings and photography from two dentists, an anesthesiologist, a pediatrician, and a hospitalist.

“Doctors who do art” will be up until December fifth. The Art Center is also free and open to all visitors.

Their hours of operation are Sunday 11:00am to 2:00pm, Tuesday – Saturday 10:00am to 4:00pm, Wednesday 10:00am to 8:00pm, and closed Mondays.
