USS Lexington celebrates veterans with free admission

Veterans and active military will get free admission to the USS Lexington this Veterans Day.

The museum will also host its annual Salute to Veterans Ceremony.  The event starts at 2 p.m. in Hangar Bay II on Sunday.  Museum director, Steve Banta and Senator John Cornyn will deliver special video messages.  The Veterans Band will be aboard to present the Colors and play patriotic music.  The ceremony also includes a wreath-laying tribute to those who served.

Matt Verdugo, Director of the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission, will also deliver remarks and invite guests to look at the Texas Liberator: Wit ness to the Holocaust exhibit immediately following the ceremony. The exhibit will be on display in Hangar Bay I through mid-December.
