Kawhi Leonard’s last few months with the San Antonio Spurs reportedly were marked with much discord between the All-Star forward and his old teammates.
That strife apparently hasn’t followed him to Toronto with his new team — at least if the Raptors’ preseason opener is any indication.
One of Leonard’s first plays with his new team came after he drove to the basket and was hammered for a foul during the Raptors’ opener at Vancouver against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Almost by cue, his four other Toronto teammates on the court rushed to him to help him up before his foul shots.
These random acts of being a good teammate can’t hurt the Raptors’ chances of resigning Leonard when his contract expires after this season.
