The Troubleshooters were the first to report on complaints about a local business called Pro Tech Landscaping.
Tonight, there is yet another complaint about the same business, but this time, the person filing the complaint claims the business has changed it’s name.
Sean Carrier is the owner of Pro Tech Landscaping.
But CJ Lowes tells the Troubleshooters she recently hired Carrier, and that’s how she found out he’d changed his business’s name from Pro Tech Landscaping to ‘Horizon Tree Services and Property Maintenance.’
“How did you find out they were Pro tech ? I did the ol’ search on the internet because he’s wasn’t showing up. So I started, I typed in his name and his name came up as Pro Tech Landscaping.”
Lowes says she’s already paid Carrier $1500.00, but similar to others with complaints against Carrier, he hasn’t done what he said he would do for them.
“How does that feel when that happens to you ? I feel like an idiot because I know better. You should never give anybody any money up front,” Lowes tells the Troubleshooters.
She further tells us she’s not allowing Carrier to pick up his equipment from her home until he refunds her $500.00 deposit.
“So then about noon, he called me and said “I wish you wouldn’t talk to the media. That I’ll be there today” And he sounded very remorseful. And I said Sean, you haved to do what you need to do and I need to do what I need to do.”
Last month, 3 other people told their stories about Sean Carrier and Pro Tech Landscaping to the Troubleshooters
“His profile on his facebook page talked about him being a very christian person. Honest family man,” Justin Siltmann told us.
But there are more. Many more from Rockport, Aransas Pass, Ingleside and throughout the Coastal Bend, sharing their stories on social media.
We left a message with Carrier at noon today. He has not returned our call.
But last month he told us he’s trying to make good with as many of his customers as possible.
And if he’s learned one thing as a business owner, it’s that you can’t make everybody happy all the time.
And as a small business owner, sometimes you can get pushed around if you don’t stand up for yourself.
