A man is facing felony charges after police say he escaped from deputies with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say they were called around 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning to the 1900 Block Paul Jones Avenue in reference to an escaped prisoner.

After searching the area for more than an hour, police located the suspect in the 7100 block of Brookedge Lane, near Rodd Field and Wooldridge Road.

Police say the escapee was found riding a little girl’s bike down the neighborhood street with a fishing pole.

As of Thursday afternoon, there is no information available on that escapee or what he was in jail for.
