Megan Mackey’s purse was stolen from her truck.
At first she thought she took it inside.
I flipped my house upside down that’s when I knew for sure it’s been taken," said Mackey.
It isn’t the valuables in her purse she is concerned with.
It’s what is irreplaceable that has her so upset.
"Megan’s husband was in the Air Force and died in Afghanistan when his plane went down in 2013. Stolen from the truck was his dog tags he was wearing at the time of the crash along with his and hers wedding bands.
"It means the world to me and to means the world to my daughter. It’s something I can never get back. It’s something he had with him on his final moments. It has the char marks of the crash, it has the notches from getting banged up, from the debris of the explosion. I would like that back," said Mackey
If you have it or know someone who is in possession of the rings and dog tags, Megan says she wants them returned, no questions asked.
