Whataburger has released a statement regarding the discovery of a small camera in one of their Abilene restaurant bathrooms.

The statement says:

"At Whataburger it’s our goal to make sure families feel safe and comfortable at each of our restaurants, and this is truly a concerning claim. We take matters such as this very seriously. As soon as we heard of the allegation, we immediately launched an investigation of our own and are working closely with local police. This is an active investigation and we ask that questions be directed to Abilene Police Department as we continue supporting their efforts.” – Whataburger Corporate Communications

On June 22nd, a Whataburger customer using a women’s bathroom says she found a small camera lens inside the stall.

The woman, who didn’t want to be identified, told KTXS News,"When I flushed the toilet, I noticed an unusual small circle under the rim of the toilet lid. I looked closer and realized it was a camera lens!"

The woman called the police and they said they are looking for whoever place the camera inside the toilet.

The victim says that all women need to be aware of their surroundings and look for anything unusual.
