Unconscious man pulled from water near JP Luby Surf Park

A man has been taken to a local hospital after he was found unconscious in the water near JP Luby Park.

A surfer saw a person in the water at mile marker 207 just after 8 a.m. and called for rescue crews, according to officials on scene.

Medics arrived and pulled the man out of the water around 8:20 a.m. He was unconscious. The man, who officers say is 63-years-old, was taken to Bay Area Hospital. 

The condition of the man is unknown at this time and details are limited. Stay with Action 10 News for updates.
