The sale of the historic 1914 Nueces County Courthouse has been finalized.
The old courthouse has been sold to an Ohio-based group called the Nueces County Development Partners LLC. The group is responsible for $1.5 million in back taxes on the building.
The group wants to turn the building into an upscale 200-room hotel.
The closing documents were signed at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Judge James E. Klager Central Jury Room of the Nueces County Courthouse.
