Dozens of Corpus Christi homes that have been linked to drug activity, prostitution and gang activity are being torn down.

The Texas National Guard today began demolishing one house on the Westside today.

It’s one of 28 buildings scheduled to be torn down in the next few weeks.

It’s called "Operation Crackdown" and it’s a collaborative effort between the City, Police, Code Enforcement and the Texas National Guard.

It targets cities across the state with a high drug-related crime rate.

They’re finding a lot of dangerous things left inside these homes.
