CORPUS CHRISTI – The Corpus Christi City Council announced their choice for replacement of Carolyn Vaughn’s seat today.  They appointed local banker Everett Roy to oversee District One.

They made the decision after publicly interviewing Roy, assistant store manager Julian Antonio Firo, photographer Carrie Robertson Meyer, and Miller High School student Gilbert Zeke Trevino.

Edward Darrell Wells, II submitted an application for the District 1 seat but was disqualified after the City of Corpus Christi found he didn’t meet all of their requirements.

The Kleberg Bank Vice President will replace Carolyn Vaughn who stepped down from the Corpus Christi City Council on February 28th to take a spot on the Nueces County Commissioners Court.

He will be sworn in on the next City Council meeting, May 8th.
