CORPUS CHRISTI –  Corpus Christi police were on a manhunt tonight in the city’s Westside.  Officers were looking for a person they say was involved in an aggravated robbery carjacking.

Monday evening a little before 7:00 p.m., CCPD received a call that an armed carjacking took place in the 4100 block of Carlton.

The suspect was spotted at a convenience store on Baldwin and Morgan Avenue a few minutes later.  Police made their way towards him when he then took off running.  Officers lost him in the neighborhood behind the convenience store and used K-9 units in the search.

The suspect has not been captured and is considered armed and dangerous.  He was wearing a red shirt and jeans and had a semi-automatic weapon.

According to police, the carjacking victim is fine.  The suspect is facing charges of aggravated robbery carjacking and evading arrest.
