Miller grad Eva Longoria earns star on Walk of Fame

Actress and activist Eva Longoria received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday.

Helping unveil the star at the ceremony was "Desperate Housewives" co-star Felicity Huffman, singer Ricky Martin, and actress Anna Faris.

The ceremony was held in connection with the May 4th release of Longoria’s latest film, "Overboard."

Longoria began her TV career in 2000 as a flight attendant on an episode of "Beverly Hills, 9-0-2-1-0."

She later went on to be nominated for a Golden Globe, and win five SAG awards with the cast of ABCs hit series "Desperate Housewives."

Longoria is actively directing and producing as well as being a champion of women, the Latino community, and youth with special needs through her charity and activism work.
