A letter to parents of student’s at Cullen Middle School was sent out today reporting a lockdown Wednesday.
The school posted the letter to its Facebook page the same afternoon.
The letter states that at 3:23 p.m. the school administration received a call that a man on a bicycle was carrying a gun around the campus. Students were locked indoors and kept quiet until police assessed the situation.
The lockdown ended at 3:40 p.m. and classes resumed.
The letter went on to say that strong safety procedures are in place at the school and everyone followed the procedures allowing a smooth event.
