Fire crews are on the scene of a brush fire on the island.
The fire, which spanned 15 acres near Commodore and South Padre Island Drive, started around 4:00 AM.
Several crews worked to put out the blaze, which was just behind Corpus Christi Fire Department Station #15.
Video shared from the Nueces County ESD #2 Facebook page shows the fire at its peak.
KRIS 6 News spoke to the Flour Bluff Fire Department, who tells us that the fire is under control.
Crews are currently searching for hot spots to ensure that it is out.
It is not yet clear just what caused the fire.
