A family living near Oak Park are on edge tonight after their pet pig was killed.
"I saw the three dogs ganging up on my pig," said Albert Gomez.
Gomez and his family says the next door neighbors pit bull dogs keep getting in their back yard and it’s been going on for a long time.
"They’ve had these dogs and they are horrible they’re horrible," said Olivia Gomez.
This morning Emma, the pet pot belly pig was in the back yard, helpless.
"the pig was screaming and yelling," said Ms. Gomez.
The family wrapped Emma in a blanket and took her to the vet, but it was too late.
Both of Emma’s ears were bitten off, one of her legs was torn from her body and she lost a lot of blood.
"There was extensive damage so the vet suggested the best course of action was to euthanize her," said Mary Frausto.
The Gomez’s say Animal Control showed up to their house and left. Then came back and took 3 of the 4 pit bulls.
They also said that the neighbor would get a citation, but so would they, for having a farm animal.
