A generally quiet weather pattern for the past week is coming to a close tonight.

An upper level disturbance is taking shape in the Southern Rockies that is destined to impact Texas all week.

The moist and increasingly unstable atmosphere over South Texas will be primed for thunderstorms as the disturbances moves into range tonight.

The first wave of thunderstorms will develop in the Concho Valley this evening and move through the Hill Country then into the Coastal Bend during the predawn hours.

Most of Memorial Day will be partly cloudy, but another wave of storms is set to develop and move through the region late Monday night into Tuesday.

Periods of heavy rainfall, in addition to strong gusty wind, is likely with these passing storm systems.

Expect isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms the rest of the week and through the coming weekend.

Temperatures will linger near seasonable norms, with highs in the middle to upper 80s and lows from the upper 60s to lower 70s.
