New research shows more people are using CBD to treat a variety of medical problems without proof it is effective.
A study published in Jama reviewed nearly 400 random online posts about people who use CBD.
Ninety percent of people use it to treat diagnosed medical conditions like depression, heart problems or intestinal issues.
But people also use CBD for many others medical conditions.
The author of the study says there's no evidence CBD is an effective treatment and the Food and Drug Administration only approved it for children with epilepsy.
