Help for veterans throughout South Texas

During the month of May, VA Vet Center staff members along with the Mobile Vet Center (MVC) outreach vehicle will be in the South Texas counties of Brooks, Goliad, Calhoun, Jim Hogg and Duval offering readjustment counseling services to Veterans, Service members and their families.

Below are the Mobile Vet Center’s upcoming outreach events and their locations:

Background on Vet Centers:

Readjustment counseling is a wide range of services offered to Veterans, Service members and their families in the effort to make a successful transition from military to civilian life. Services offered include:

  • Individual and group Counseling for eligible Veterans and Service members
    • Family counseling for military related issues
    • Bereavement counseling
    • Counseling and referral for those that experience a military sexual trauma
    • Outreach 
    • Substance abuse assessment and referral
    • Employment referral
    • Referral to other VA services
    • Community education 

Vet Center staff respects the privacy of all clients, and holds client information in strict confidence.
