Troubleshooters help man get dangerously low-hanging wires fixed

So what do you think? Too low?

I’m 5-7 and I can touch these low-hanging wires. And so can Efrain Del Prado, who lives here and called us.

“How long has this been like this?” I asked Del Prado.

“Couple of months, at least,” he said.

This is what Del Prado sees every day he walks out his door, and when he walks to the parking lot.

We’re both short guys, so this video should give you an idea of just how low these wires or cables are.

“So you’re concerned that somebody, not you, but somebody could touch these wires, and it’s lights out?” I asked.

“Exactly,” he said.

Del Prado said he’s contacted AEP and electrical businesses he could find in the phone book, but says they all told him the wires -- the cables -- don’t belong to them.

Within 24 hours or so after we started calling AEP, AT&T, Grande, and Spectrum -- ta-da! AT&T fixed the one in the parking lot, and, just moments ago, Spectrum fixed the one in Del Prado’s backyard.

That makes this another Troubleshooters case closed.
