The Corpus Christi Fire Department kept flames from a large car fire from damaging a home this morning.
The fire began just after 8:30 a.m. on the 3100 block of Crestwater, near Kostoryz and Holly. Flames could be seen shooting from under the hood of the vehicle.
The fire started in the car’s engine, a spokesperson with the CCFD said.
A nearby vehicle and home were not damaged. No one was injured.
